An innovative Certificate program offering professionals and lay persons an opportunity to explore cultural, social, and personal aspects of loss, death, dying, and grief; to gain knowledge and experience in providing support for those who experience significant losses, individuals who are terminally ill, and those who experience grief, and to examine relevant legal, ethical, and social issues. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to the exploration of loss and grief, with an emphasis on effective support and collaboration with community-based services. Many of the courses in this program will be offered online or in mixed-methods teaching models.

The Death, Dying and Bereavement certificate is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and resources to assist them in walking with compassion through the dying and grief journey with clients and patients.

The TPTTC program follows a training model of sustained, relational psycho-spiritual therapy in the tradition of pastoral counselling with one-to-one continuous, individual clients, in a multifaith setting.
Entry-to-practice competencies of the CRPO are embedded in this integrative clinical psychotherapy training program. Clients, placements and supervision are provided.

Yvonne and Geordie have a combined 50 years of experience assisting those navigating grief and life challenges working in the healthcare field. This program will help individuals and organizations who work in the field of grief, bereavement, and mourning prepare personally and professionally to continue to support others.
