Hospice Wellington
About Hospice Wellington
Hospice Wellington is a gift to the community from the community. About 40 years ago, a group of concerned residents came forward because they believed there was a gap in care for people living in this community facing the final stages of life. They wanted to do something about it.
In 1980, Hospice Wellington was established to provide our community with the compassionate care, emotional support and practical assistance to our neighbours with a life-threatening illness.
Hospice Wellington does more than care for those in the final stages of their lives. We are also here for grieving families and caregivers who are facing the loss of a loved one. Our programs and services extend to the entire community of Wellington County.
This is only possible thanks to private donations and funding from our many partners over the years who have been instrumental in supporting Hospice Wellington’s establishment and growth.
